“For the respect of mountains, you should not shout” , said the technical expert, Deepak Singh. He was going to guide a group of people to summit at one of the Himalayan peaks. However, when the group reached to the top, they could not behold their excitement and expressed them only in terms of shouting. Although, there were more than 200 people on the mountain top, came along with different groups and started shouting in many ways. Some carried the national flag and shouted their gratitude to the nation, some came up with religious bands and shouted in the name of their religious sects and gods. The technical expert and some other mountain lovers had to keep quite because to stop the whole mob, they had to shout another time, which they won’t do positively. This was just one incident. Every day many of the popular mountain places are being polluted by human noise. Problem is, we do not observe the effect of making noise in mountains directly. However, it has long term and some time very quick effects also. Long term effects are :

Keeping the points in our mind, it is always better to not to shout in mountains. Even better if we can talk in a very low voice. If someone wants listen music, can use head phone instead of using a speaker (Yes! People carry portable speaker while hiking in Indian Himalayas, because they off load their hiking backpacks on the mules). If your are passionate about your country, let your flag fly silently.
